Server Guides
📋Community Guidelines
Rules and standards every member must follow. Ignorance is not an excuse.
Rule 1 - Respect Everyone
Treat all players, staff, and community members with respect at all times. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, toxicity, or any form of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, or any other form of bigotry. We strive to maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all players.
Rule 2 - No Cheating or Exploiting
Using third-party programs, mods, hacks, or exploits to gain an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to aimbots, ESP, wallhacks, or any form of game modification not approved by staff. Exploiting bugs or glitches is also forbidden - report any bugs you find to staff immediately.
Rule 3 - Character Requirements
Your character name must be realistic and appropriate (First Name + Last Name format). No celebrity names, meme names, or inappropriate names. Your character must have a developed backstory and realistic motivations. Remember, you're playing a character, not yourself.
Rule 4 - Microphone Required
A working microphone is mandatory for playing on Hardline Networks. Voice communication is essential for quality roleplay. Your microphone must be clear and free of excessive background noise. Using text-to-speech or soundboards as your primary communication method is not allowed. If you have a valid reason as to why you can't use a microphone, open a ticket and staff can help you out.
Rule 5 - Reporting
If you witness rule violations, finish playing our the roleplay and then report them through proper channels (tickets or reports). Failure to report correctly may see your report closed.
Rule 6 - Metagaming
Metagaming is a serious violation that occurs when a player uses information their character could not have realistically obtained in roleplay to influence their actions. This includes using details from Discord, Twitch streams, OOC chats, or other out-of-character sources to gain an advantage in-game. Each character must operate solely on knowledge gained through legitimate in-character interactions. Sharing or transferring information between your own characters, or using third parties to pass that information, is also considered metagaming. Always keep IC and OOC knowledge separate. If your character couldn't know it naturally, you shouldn't act on it.
Rule 7 - Powergaming
Powergaming refers to performing actions that are unrealistic, exploitative, or that force outcomes on other players without giving them a fair chance to respond. This includes abusing game mechanics, performing superhuman or impossible actions, or using commands and menus in ways that break immersion. Examples include overhearing conversations through walls, using third-person camera angles for unfair vision, exploiting menus or animations for gain, or shift-punching in fights. Always allow others time to react and ensure your actions stay within realistic boundaries. If it wouldn't happen naturally in the real world, it shouldn't happen here.
Rule 8 - Value Your Life (FearRP)
Your character values their life. If someone has a weapon pointed at you, you must comply with their demands within reason. Do not perform unrealistic actions that would put your life at risk. If you're outnumbered or outgunned, act accordingly. This is not an action movie - treat situations realistically.
Rule 9 - New Life Rule (NLR)
After respawning from a death or being revived by EMS, you forget the immediate events leading to your death (last 15 minutes). You cannot return to the area where you died for 15 minutes. You cannot seek revenge for your death. Once you respawn, it's a new life - act accordingly.
Rule 10 - Realistic Driving
Drive realistically in the vehicle you are using, for example only take off-road vehicles off-road. Jumps and stunts are permitted, but your character's life must always be considered. Unrealistic driving during an active roleplay scenario is strongly discouraged, and excessive or repeated abuse of this, such as using stunts to evade RP consequences or behaving in a way that breaks immersion, may be treated as a rule violation at staff discretion.
Rule 11 - Roleplay Injury
After being injured, downed, or in a serious accident, you must roleplay injuries accordingly. Don't immediately resume normal activities after being revived. If you were shot multiple times, you should seek medical attention and roleplay recovery. Make your injuries feel realistic and consequential.
Rule 12 - Safe Zones
Hospitals, police stations, and designated safe zones are areas where hostile RP (robberies, kidnapping, etc.) is prohibited. You cannot initiate or continue hostile situations in these areas. Do not abuse safe zones by running into them to avoid RP consequences.
Rule 13 - Random Deathmatch (RDM)
Killing or attacking another player without a valid or properly initiated roleplay reason is strictly prohibited. Engaging in violent actions without prior verbal or clear roleplay escalation is not allowed. Before resorting to lethal force, players must attempt creative interactions such as intimidation, threats, or negotiations. Killing should always be a last resort. If staff determine you bypassed alternative RP opportunities or killed a compliant player, it will be considered RDM and may result in severe consequences. Attacking someone solely to "erase their memory" or without legitimate roleplay build-up is also a direct violation of this rule.
Rule 14 - Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM)
Using a vehicle as a weapon by intentionally ramming, hitting, or killing players without valid RP justification is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action. A single, controlled PIT style maneuver is permitted only when performed by police or an authorised participant during an active pursuit or an admin-approved event, executed at under 100 km/h in a safe location with no pedestrians or heavy traffic, and must not be repeated; misuse or weaponisation of vehicles outside these conditions is a major offence and should be reported with evidence.
Rule 15 - Scamming
Scamming is strictly prohibited in all forms, whether in-character or out-of-character. Players must not deceive, manipulate, or mislead others to obtain money, items, or services they have no intention of delivering. This includes selling fake or misrepresented items, false promises of payment, and abusing another player's trust for personal gain. There are no exceptions based on roleplay context. Even if the deception happens within a scenario, it is still considered a scam. If a scam is proven with sufficient evidence, staff will return the affected items or currency to the victim and the offending player will face disciplinary action.
Rule 16 - Robbing
Robbing is permitted when there is low police presence, but only civilians holding a visa may steal illegal items. Players without a visa may only take dirty money. A robbery must have a strong and legitimate roleplay reason, and repeatedly robbing players in a short period known as chain robbing is strictly prohibited.
Rule 17 - No Combat Logging
Logging out, disconnecting, or leaving the server during active RP situations (especially combat or police interactions) is strictly forbidden. If you must leave due to emergency, inform staff immediately. This includes switching characters to avoid consequences or RP situations.
Rule 18 - Quality Roleplay Standards
Maintain high-quality roleplay at all times. Create meaningful interactions and storylines. Don't do things 'for the content' or 'for the memes' - everything should make sense for your character. Fail RP (breaking character, unrealistic actions) will result in consequences. Put effort into your character development and interactions.
Rule 19 - External Platforms (Discord/Streaming)
Follow server rules in all Hardline Networks Discord channels. No advertising other servers or communities. If streaming, you are representing our community - maintain the same standards. Do not use your stream to target, harass, or meta against other players. Stream sniping is prohibited.
Rule 20 - Doxxing & Personal Information
Sharing, threatening to share, or soliciting any real-life information about a player that is not publicly available is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate permanent ban. This includes personal details such as a home address, phone number, or workplace, but also extends to any content a person has not chosen to make public, such as photos, social media accounts, or private messages shared within a personal context. If someone shared something privately and it ends up being distributed without their consent, that is a violation of this rule regardless of how it was obtained. Using personal information as leverage in any dispute is also covered. The safety and privacy of every community member is non-negotiable.
Rule 21 - Sexual Content
Explicit or sexual roleplay of any kind is strictly prohibited on Hardline Networks. This includes sexual scenarios, explicit dialogue, and any content of a sexual nature whether in-character or out-of-character. Violations will result in an immediate permanent ban with no possibility of appeal.
Rule 22 - Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years of age to play on Hardline Networks. By joining the server, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Players found to be underage will be permanently removed from the community. This requirement exists to ensure a safe and appropriate environment for all members.
Rule 23 - Real-Life Threats & DDoS
Threatening any player, staff member, or community figure with real-life harm, DDoS attacks, account compromises, or any form of cyber attack is an immediate permanent ban. This includes threats made in-game, in Discord, or via any other platform associated with Hardline Networks. Such behaviour will also be reported to the relevant authorities where applicable.
Rule 24 - Real Money Trading (RMT)
The exchange of in-game currency, items, vehicles, properties, or any other in-game assets for real-world money, cryptocurrency, or goods of real-world value is strictly prohibited. This includes buying or selling in-game assets through third-party platforms, paying for in-game services with real money, and selling or purchasing server accounts or characters. Advertising, facilitating, or participating in RMT in any form will result in a permanent ban. The only authorised real-money transactions are official server store purchases through our approved channels.
